MINISTRY
OF HELPS
At
Living Praise Church we have a large group of dedicated and faithful believers
who carry out the work of the ministry.
We
are looking for many good people to assist in carrying out the vision God has
at Living Praise Church.
Requirements
in any area of the ministry of helps are as follows:
Spirit-filled born again
Christian who is faithful, prompt, loving, joyful and patient.
When
you volunteer to fulfill a need in the church you are under the anointing of
the ministry of helps. As a
result of that anointing, you will receive joy, happiness, strength and the
ability to carry out the plans of God for your church.
Below
are the many areas of ministry available at Living Praise Church. If you
are interested in a particular area, contact the person listed after the
description.
ALTAR
ATTENDANTS:
Assists during altar calls in providing covering for the ladies and
distributing “prayer cloths” to people desiring handkerchiefs to place on
the sick.
The

BOOKSTORE: The
Bookstore offers the very best in Bible study and sound Christian materials as
well as music and teaching tape materials for adults and children. People are
needed to help at sale counter, keep product shelves neat & clean, floor
sales people, knowledge of bookstore products.
Will also assist in taking inventory as needed.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY: It is our desire that our
children know how real God is and His love for them by training them at an
early age. The children meet
during Sunday morning service and Wednesday evening service. Training is taught through puppets, drama skits, costumed
characters, praise and worship, object lessons and exciting Bible teaching.

COMFORT
MINISTRY: Whenever
a member experiences death in the immediate family, the Comfort Ministry
provides food, prayer and encouragement.

COMMUNION
WORKERS: These
workers prepare the juice trays and bread plates for communion service every
first Sunday. After service
workers clean the juice trays, bread trays and juice dispenser for next
service.

FOLLOW-UP
DEPT.: After
people receive salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit and/or re-dedication,
this committee does follow-up. They contact the person to encourage them to
read their Bible and pray daily. They discuss any concerns they may have about
the salvation experience and pray for any needs they may have.

GREETERS:
The first thing we want a
person to experience when they enter the doors of Living Praise Church is a
warm and friendly greeting. If you love to meet people and have a warm,
receptive personality, this is an excellent ministry for you.
The greeter gives out the Visitor Packs to any new comers
and
is
also responsible to have enough completed visitor packs for each service.

HOSPITAL/CARE
MINISTRY: This
ministry visits those who are sick in the hospital and/or shut-in at home.
Prayer needs in this area are primarily for healing, salvation, and
rededication. This ministry also goes into the homes of the shut-in to assist
in domestic needs. This is a
tremendous opportunity to really help people who need prayer and
encouragement. The contact

MAINTENANCE:
Keeping up a building the
size of Living Praise Church is a continual challenge. We are always in need
of volunteer help for a diversity of maintenance needs on an "as needed

MUSIC MINISTRY:
Provides the musical excellence
necessary to have spirit-filled praise and worship in the adult, youth and
children's services. If you have
an area of musical expertise, come and be a vital part of this ministry.

PRODUCT
TABLE DEPT.: Guest Product Table ministry helps with products of guest
speakers that come to Living Praise Church.
Workers will help set-up the product table, check inventory, sale of
products. Knowledge of money
transactions, credit card procedures, closing inventory along with adding up
the sales at the end for each event. The
contact person is Debbie Edwards.
PRAYER
CLOTH DEPT.: We need workers who are able to cut material to the
specified size of the prayer cloth. After
cutting, then stamp the prayer cloth and place them in neat stacks.
PRAYER
PARTNERS:
Provide prayer and follow-up for those who have responded to
the altar call during service. Salvation,
rededication to God, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and healing are the major
issues that are dealt with in this ministry.

PROJECTIONISTS/VIDEO
WALL: This ministry
is responsible for showing the music slides on the projector and/or on the
video wall during worship. Responsibilities
include filing the transparencies alphabetically in the bins, and seeing that
the transparencies are in good condition,
video wall
songs
and knowledge of
“Power
Point” program.

PARKING LOT
DEPT.: The
parking attendants provide traffic flow for vehicles entering
the parking lot. They make sure
the handicapped ramp is easily accessible.
Handicapped parking areas are kept free to h
elp vehicles with “handicapped parking permits” find their reserved spots.
This ministry also patrols the parking lot to provide security and
safety for people going to and from church.
Requirements are faithfulness and promptness (rain or shine). The

SOUND MINISTRY:
This ministry is
responsible for providing proper lighting in the sanctuary, sound mixing and
many other necessary tasks. Training is provided.

AUDIO
DEPT.:
This ministry duplicates
the teaching CD's
of the services and provides them for sale at the
Audio/Video counter. They also
duplicate services for first-time visitors. The

T.V.
PRAYER PARTNERS:
Provide prayer
for
callers who watch the television program. The contact person is
Debbie
Rembert.
USHER
EPAT: The
ushers prepare the way for all
other ministry that takes place in the sanctuary. Usher will direct those entering the sanctuary to seating
areas available. Usher will
ensure orderly conduct in the sanctuary.
Usher is responsible to keep their assigned area amply supplied with
material and to refill material for the next service. Living Praise Church
there are certain characteristics we look for in a good usher:
Baptized with the Holy Spirit, loving, joyful, patient, gentle,
faithful and prompt.

DVD
DUPLICATION MINISTRY: Each service is recorded on
DVD
and made available after service to those desiring to purchase
them. Assistance is needed in
running the equipment and duplicating the services. Training is provided.
Faithfulness and promptness is a must.

YOUTH MINISTRY: This ministry provides our teenagers
with a positive Godly environment to help them make a meaningful commitment to
Christ and carry that out for the rest of their lives. Bible studies, praise
and worship, summer camp, special events and discipleship are just some of the
opportunities for involvement.
